Balefire Dragon
Flying
Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, it deals that much damage to each creature that player controls.
We price the four cards and the token at their cheapest current printing and set the total against the $39.99 non-foil and $49.99 foil drop prices, so you can judge the card value for yourself.
On 3 November 2026, Wizards of the Coast announced its 2026 team-up with Extra Life, and with it a new charity Secret Lair drop, Rise of the Polygons | Extra Life 2026. It costs $39.99 non-foil or $49.99 foil. Wizards says it is available at MagicSecretLair.com from 16 November to 30 November at 1 a.m. PT, and in limited quantities at the MagicCon: Atlanta merch booth from 13 November to 15 November 2026.
This is a charity drop. In Wizards' words, fifty percent (50%) of the purchase price supports Extra Life and the kids and families at Seattle Children's Hospital. The footnote adds that the fifty percent is of the sales price, less third-party transaction fees, and is donated to Children's Miracle Network via Our Change Foundation, a public charity and donor-advised fund. For sales at the Extra Life booth at MagicCon: Atlanta, Wizards says that, minus third-party fees, 100% of the proceeds from Extra Life merchandise and this drop go toward Extra Life. The Extra Life cosmetics in the MTG Arena store, also on sale from 16 to 30 November, donate all proceeds less transaction fees to Extra Life.
Whatever the cards are worth, half of what you pay goes to the cause, so the card value below is only part of the picture. For each card we take the cheapest existing printing, add the prices up and compare the total with the drop price, with the new Secret Lair printing shown alongside.
Non-foil: the singles come to $44.11 against a $39.99 drop price (+$4.12, 1.10x).
Foil: against $49.99 that is -$5.88 (0.88x).
Sword of Truth and Justice alone is 63% of the singles value.

Wizards lists five items: Balefire Dragon, Big Score, Young Pyromancer, Sword of Truth and Justice and an Elemental token. Wizards describes the Young Pyromancer as needing to level up before taking on the fearsome Balefire Dragon.

Flying
Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, it deals that much damage to each creature that player controls.

As an additional cost to cast this spell, discard a card.
Draw two cards and create two Treasure tokens. (They're artifacts with "{T}, Sacrifice this token: Add one mana of any color.")

Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, create a 1/1 red Elemental creature token.

Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from white and from blue.
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control, then proliferate. (Choose any number of permanents and/or players, then give each another counter of each kind already there.)
Equip {2}

A token. It has no resale price of its own, so it is not counted in the totals.
Scryfall carries TCGplayer's market price for every printing of a card. We use the non-foil market price, which reflects recent sales rather than the single cheapest listing.
The Elemental token has no resale price of its own, so it is left out of the totals, which makes the card total a floor. This is a charity drop: half of the purchase price goes to Extra Life, so many people will buy it for the cause and not for the card value. Drop names, card lists and prices come from Wizards of the Coast's announcement. Card data and images belong to Wizards of the Coast.
