Attrition
{B}, Sacrifice a creature: Destroy target nonblack creature.
We price every card in both drops at its cheapest current printing and set the total against what the drop costs, so you can judge the card value for yourself.
On 13 October 2026, Wizards of the Coast announced two Reality Fracture Secret Lair drops: Strange School and Duality Distorted. Each is $29.99 non-foil or $39.99 foil. They will launch in the Chaos Vault on MagicSecretLair.com; no on-sale date has been given yet, and each drop can be bought on its own or in a bundle.
Plenty of buyers want the art, and plenty also ask whether the cards inside are worth more than the price of the drop. This page does that sum. For each card we take the cheapest existing printing, add the prices up per drop, and compare the total with the drop price, with the new Secret Lair printing shown alongside so you can see exactly what you would be getting.
Non-foil: the singles come to $64.15 against a $29.99 drop price (+$34.16, 2.14x).
Foil: against $39.99 that is +$24.16 (1.60x).
Bitter Ordeal alone is 42% of the singles value.
Non-foil: the singles come to $35.26 against a $29.99 drop price (+$5.27, 1.18x).
Foil: against $39.99 that is -$4.73 (0.88x).
Tribute to the World Tree alone is 41% of the singles value.
Prices as of 14 October 2026 (TCGplayer market prices via Scryfall). They refresh each time you open this page.
Wizards points back to the school manga-themed drop it made for Secrets of Strixhaven in April, and says this one is meant to match the twisted vibes of Reality Fracture's Hexhaven. Each card features black and white artwork from Japanese artists and illustrators.

{B}, Sacrifice a creature: Destroy target nonblack creature.

Search target player's library for a card and exile it. Then that player shuffles.
Gravestorm (When you cast this spell, copy it for each permanent put into a graveyard this turn. You may choose new targets for the copies.)

At the beginning of each upkeep, if you control no Snakes, create a 1/1 black Snake creature token with deathtouch.

Target player draws two cards and loses 2 life.

You may exile two black cards from your hand rather than pay this spell's mana cost.
Soul Spike deals 4 damage to any target and you gain 4 life.
Four Magic artists each created a new piece for this drop, on a series of retro frame cards. Wizards says each artist's piece was inspired by one of their earlier works.

Target player reveals their hand. You choose a nonland card from it. That player discards that card. You lose 2 life.

Add {R}{R}{R}.
Splice onto Arcane {1}{R} (As you cast an Arcane spell, you may reveal this card from your hand and pay its splice cost. If you do, add this card's effects to that spell.)

Choose one —
• Counter target spell if it's blue.
• Destroy target permanent if it's blue.

Whenever a creature you control enters, draw a card if its power is 3 or greater. Otherwise, put two +1/+1 counters on it.
Scryfall carries TCGplayer's market price for every printing of a card. We use the non-foil market price, which reflects recent sales rather than the single cheapest listing.
Wizards is also selling three Chaos Vault bundles (Everything Edition $234.99, Non-Foil Edition $159.98, Foil Edition $179.98) that package these drops with another Reality Fracture Secret Lair product. This page values only the two drops. Drop names, card lists and prices come from Wizards of the Coast's announcement. Card data and images belong to Wizards of the Coast.
