Temmet, Naktamun's Will costs {2}{W}{U}{B} and is a 4/4 Zombie Wizard with vigilance and menace. Whenever you attack you draw a card, then discard a card, and whenever you draw a card your Zombies get +1/+1 until end of turn. Every loot makes the whole team bigger.
The precon already has the best lords, including God-Eternal Oketra, Wayward Servant and Lord of the Accursed. Each swap below pairs a cut with an add, and every card is scored with the same numbers the Oracle uses to build decks: synergy and inclusion from the Temmet decks, plus lift, which shows how much more often a card turns up in Temmet decks than in decks that could play it.

What is holding the deck back
Creatures that are only Zombies after embalm or eternalize
Timeless Dragon, Angel of Sanctions, Champion of Wits and Vizier of Many Faces become Zombies only when you pay their embalm or eternalize costs from the graveyard. Until then they do not get the lords' bonuses.
The cheap Zombie lords are missing
Zul Ashur, Diregraf Captain, Varina, Champion of the Perished and Cryptcaller Chariot are the top-scoring cards the precon leaves out, and each rewards a board of Zombies or makes more of them.
A top end that does little for the Zombies
Eight nonland cards have a mana value of six or more, including God-Pharaoh's Gift at seven mana and Commence the Endgame at six. Cheaper cards keep Temmet's draw-and-discard trigger working every turn.
The 12 swaps

Timeless Dragon is a 5/5 flier for {3}{W}{W} that can be eternalized for {2}{W}{W} as a 4/4 Zombie Dragon. It is not a card Temmet decks usually play.
Zul Ashur, Lich Lord is a 2/2 Zombie for {1}{B} with ward (pay 2 life). Tap him to cast a Zombie creature card from your graveyard this turn. A two-drop that turns the graveyard into a second hand of Zombies.

Twisted Abomination is a 5/3 Zombie Mutant for {5}{B} that regenerates for {B}, with swampcycling. It is not a card Temmet decks usually play.
Diregraf Captain is a 2/2 deathtouch Zombie for {1}{U}{B}. Other Zombies you control get +1/+1, and whenever another Zombie dies, an opponent loses 1 life. A three-mana lord that drains.

Angel of Sanctions is a 3/4 flier for {3}{W}{W} that exiles a nonland permanent, with embalm {5}{W}. It is played in about one Temmet deck in nine.
Cryptcaller Chariot is a 5/5 menace Vehicle for {3}{B} with crew 2. Whenever you discard one or more cards, you create that many tapped 2/2 Zombies. Temmet discards a card every time you attack, so each attack makes a Zombie.

Maskwood Nexus costs {4} and makes every creature you control every creature type, which makes them all Zombies. It is cute, but it does not put anything on the board and is played in about one Temmet deck in eight.
Champion of the Perished is a one-mana Zombie that gets a +1/+1 counter whenever another Zombie enters under your control. A one-drop that is a real Zombie from the start, and grows every time you make another.

Champion of Wits is a 2/1 Snake Wizard for {2}{U} that draws and discards when it enters, with eternalize {5}{U}{U}. It is played in about one Temmet deck in six.
Gisa and Geralf is a 4/4 Human Wizard for {2}{U}{B}. It mills four cards when it enters, and once each turn lets you cast a Zombie creature spell from your graveyard. It fills the graveyard and recasts Zombies.

Gate to the Afterlife gains you life and lets you loot when a nontoken creature dies, and it can fetch God-Pharaoh's Gift. It is played in about one Temmet deck in six.
Cursecloth Wrappings costs {2}{B}{B}: Zombies you control get +1/+1, and for {T} a creature card in your graveyard gains embalm until end of turn. A lord that gives your other creatures a second life as Zombies.

God-Pharaoh's Gift costs seven mana and makes a 4/4 Zombie token with haste from your graveyard each combat. It is a great top-end card, and played in about one Temmet deck in six, but it is slow.
Zombie Apocalypse costs {3}{B}{B}{B}: return all Zombie creature cards from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped, then destroy all Humans. A six-mana reanimation that fits a Zombie graveyard, and Temmet is a Zombie Wizard, so he survives.

Commence the Endgame costs {4}{U}{U} at instant speed: draw two cards, then amass Zombies equal to the cards in your hand. It is played in about one Temmet deck in five.
Varina, Lich Queen is a 4/4 Zombie Wizard for {1}{W}{U}{B}. Whenever you attack with Zombies, you draw that many cards, then discard that many, and gain that much life. She loots once for every Zombie that attacks.

Cast Out is a four-mana flash enchantment that exiles a nonland permanent. It is good removal, and played in about one Temmet deck in five.
Rooftop Storm costs {5}{U}: you may pay {0} rather than the mana cost for Zombie creature spells. Once it is out, every Zombie in your hand is free.

Vizier of Many Faces copies any creature on the battlefield for {2}{U}{U}, and can be embalmed for {3}{U}{U}. It is played in about one Temmet deck in five.
Headless Rider is a 3/1 Zombie for {2}{B}. Whenever it or another nontoken Zombie you control dies, you create a 2/2 black Zombie. Every Zombie you lose leaves one behind.

Gempalm Polluter is a six-mana 4/3 Zombie that drains when cycled. It is played in about one Temmet deck in three.
Death Baron is a 2/2 Zombie Wizard for {1}{B}{B}. Skeletons you control and other Zombies you control get +1/+1 and have deathtouch. A three-mana Zombie lord that makes every Zombie a deathtouch attacker.

Commander's Sphere is a three-mana rock that sacrifices itself to draw a card. It is played in about one Temmet deck in five, in a deck with Sol Ring and Arcane Signet.
Diregraf Colossus is a 2/2 Zombie Giant for {2}{B} that enters with a +1/+1 counter for each Zombie card in your graveyard, and whenever you cast a Zombie spell it creates a tapped 2/2 Zombie. A Zombie that makes Zombies with every Zombie you cast.

What to keep
These cards are doing the deck's heavy lifting. Do not cut them.
- God-Eternal Oketra$0.62
Played in 89% of Temmet decks. Double strike, and a 4/4 Zombie Warrior whenever you cast a creature spell. - On Wings of Gold$0.47
Zombies and tokens get +1/+1 and flying, and it makes a Zombie whenever cards leave your graveyard. - Wayward Servant$0.30
Drains each opponent for 1 whenever another Zombie enters under your control. - Zombie Master$0.49
Gives your other Zombies swampwalk and a regeneration ability. - Lord of the Accursed$0.18
Gives your other Zombies +1/+1 and can give them menace for {1}{B}.
If you want to spend more
These are strong but sit outside a budget upgrade. Prices are the cheapest paper printing.
- Hordewing Skaab$5.81
A flier that gives your other Zombies flying.
Eternal Might already has the best Zombie lords and the graveyard recursion. The upgrade is Zombies that are Zombies from the start, cheap lords and engines that punish Temmet's loot, and fewer top-end fillers. These twelve swaps cost about $11 in total.

How the numbers work
Inclusion is the share of Temmet, Naktamun's Will decks (14,401 of them when this was written, 2026-10-27) that play the card. Synergy is how much more often they play it than other decks in the same colours. Oracle score is synergy × 0.6 plus inclusion × 0.4, the same blend The Oracle uses to rank cards for a deck. Lift compares how often the card appears in these decks with how often it could, capped at 8× here; it is shown for context and does not change the score.
Two cautions. Players who run the precon unmodified count as Temmet decks, which flatters every card the precon contains. Lift is high for many of these cards because they are Zombie cards that are rarely played outside Zombie decks, so use lift to compare cards, not to judge one in isolation. A card the commander's decks do not usually play counts as 0 in the average score. Prices are the cheapest non-foil paper printing on TCGplayer (via Scryfall), in USD, and move daily.
