Overview
Quantum Quandrix is a deck that makes tokens and then makes twice as many. Adrix and Nev, Twincasters has ward {2}, and if one or more tokens would be created under your control, twice that many of those tokens are created instead. Every token maker in the deck therefore produces double.
The 99 cards are 28 creatures, 1 planeswalker, 7 artifacts, 2 enchantments, 9 instants, 12 sorceries and 40 lands. The deck has Fractal makers such as Biomathematician, Deekah, Fractal Theorist, Paradox Zone, Fractal Harness and Sequence Engine, and large token makers such as Rampaging Baloths, Hornet Queen, Kazandu Tuskcaller, Garruk, Primal Hunter and Hydra Broodmaster. It also has cards that copy tokens or make them better, including Esix, Fractal Bloom, Master Biomancer and Rite of Replication.
Key Cards
Playing the Deck
The early game is about mana and a first token. Rampant Growth, Kodama's Reach, Coiling Oracle, Incubation Druid, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet and Simic Signet ramp you, Kazandu Tuskcaller levels up to make Elephants, and Zimone, Quandrix Prodigy puts lands onto the battlefield. Hornet Nest makes flying deathtouch tokens when it is dealt damage.
The middle of the game is about making and growing tokens. Biomathematician, Paradox Zone and Fractal Harness make Fractals, Master Biomancer gives each other creature extra counters as it enters, Garruk, Primal Hunter makes a Beast every turn, and Curiosity Crafter draws a card whenever a token connects. Idol of Oblivion draws if you made a token this turn, and Golden Ratio draws a card for each different power.
The late game is about huge tokens and a reset. Reef Worm chains into a 9/9 Kraken when it dies, Spawning Kraken makes a 9/9 Kraken whenever a Kraken connects, Desolation Twin makes a second 10/10, and Terastodon destroys noncreature permanents. Oversimplify exiles all creatures and gives each player a Fractal with counters equal to the power they lost, and Biomass Mutation and Perplexing Test help you finish or reset.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths: The deck has a huge number of token makers and a commander that doubles each of them, so it can build a giant board very quickly. It also has good interaction and protection, including Beast Within, Rapid Hybridization, Krosan Grip, Crafty Cutpurse and Guardian Augmenter.
Weaknesses: The plan relies on Adrix and Nev, a four-mana 2/2, so removal on them slows the deck down, and a sweeper can undo a lot of work. Several of the best cards are expensive, and the deck is two colours with some double-coloured costs.
