Overview

Vampiric Bloodline is a Vampire tribal deck that likes to cheat Vampires into play. Strefan, Maurer Progenitor has flying, and at the beginning of your end step you create a Blood token for each player who lost life this turn. Whenever Strefan attacks, you may sacrifice two Blood tokens, and if you do you may put a Vampire card from your hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, and it gains indestructible until end of turn.

The 99 cards are 35 creatures, 9 artifacts, 4 enchantments, 2 instants, 12 sorceries and 37 lands. 33 of the creatures are Vampires, so the lords and tribal payoffs such as Stromkirk Captain, Bloodlord of Vaasgoth, Cordial Vampire and Sanctum Seeker work with almost the whole deck. The deck also has madness cards such as Anje's Ravager, Falkenrath Gorger and Stensia Masquerade, and Blood token support from Glass-Cast Heart, Arterial Alchemy and Kamber, the Plunderer.

Key Cards

◈
Stromkirk Captain
Lord · First Strike
A 2/2 for {1}{B}{R}. It has first strike, and other Vampire creatures you control get +1/+1 and have first strike. It makes the whole Vampire team a bigger and safer attacker for three mana.
◈
Bloodlord of Vaasgoth
Bloodthirst · Flying
A 3/3 for {3}{B}{B}. It has bloodthirst 3, so it enters with three +1/+1 counters if an opponent was dealt damage this turn, and it has flying. Whenever you cast a Vampire creature spell, it gains bloodthirst 3, so every Vampire you cast after combat damage comes in bigger.
◈
Necropolis Regent
Flying Finisher · Counters
A 6/5 for {3}{B}{B}{B}. It has flying, and whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to a player, put that many +1/+1 counters on it. It grows every creature that connects, including itself.
◈
Anowon, the Ruin Sage
Edict Engine · Tribal
A 4/3 for {3}{B}{B}. At the beginning of your upkeep, each player sacrifices a non-Vampire creature of their choice. In a deck where almost every creature is a Vampire, it is a one-sided edict each turn.

Playing the Deck

The early game is about cheap Vampires and mana. Falkenrath Gorger, Indulgent Aristocrat, Blood Artist, Cordial Vampire and Bloodtithe Harvester come down cheaply, and Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Rakdos Signet, Charcoal Diamond, Fire Diamond and Commander's Sphere provide mana. Vampire Nighthawk is a strong early flyer with deathtouch and lifelink.

The middle of the game is about attacking and getting value from damage. Stromkirk Captain pumps the team, Rakish Heir, Stensia Masquerade and Necropolis Regent grow your creatures when they connect, Sanctum Seeker drains whenever a Vampire attacks, and Glass-Cast Heart makes Blood tokens. Falkenrath Noble and Blood Artist drain whenever creatures die, and Markov Enforcer fights whenever a Vampire enters.

The late game is about huge Vampires and a final push. Butcher of Malakir, Patron of the Vein, Malakir Bloodwitch and Vampiric Dragon are enormous flyers, Mob Rule steals creatures for a turn, and Predators' Hour gives your creatures menace and card advantage. Olivia's Wrath and Blasphemous Act reset the board, and Sinister Waltz brings creatures back.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths: Almost every creature is a Vampire, so lords and tribal triggers are always live, and the deck has many ways to drain and grow its creatures. It also has real removal and interaction, including Feed the Swarm, Urge to Feed, Rakdos Charm, Avacyn's Judgment and Vandalblast.

Weaknesses: The deck is aggressive, so a defensive opponent or a sweeper can slow it, and many of its best cards cost a lot of mana. Some cards, such as Crimson Honor Guard, punish you as well as your opponents unless you control a commander, and a lot of the madness plan depends on having cards to discard.

Verdict
Vampiric Bloodline is a fun and straightforward tribal deck with plenty of drain, Blood tokens and big flyers. It is a good fit for players who like attacking with a team of Vampires, and it can be improved easily with better mana and removal.
